WHERE: Antietam Creek – Crystal Lake/Carsonia Park Cleanup
AVCP will be partnering with the Mount Penn Borough Municipal Authority to continue clean-up of the Antietam creek and a spring clean-up at Carsonia park and around Crystal Lake.
The event will be Saturday, April 25 from 8:00am – 2:00pm. The location is the Antietam Pool parking lot. The event only postpones for heavy rain.
The water authority will provide pizza and water for the volunteers. AVCP will provide drinks and snacks. Once we have a head count, we will investigate other lunch options.
AVCP will man the sign in table at the big parking lot of the pool. All volunteers will have to sign a waiver before starting work. From there the volunteers can decide which type of work they prefer. Snacks and drinks will be available all day at this sight. Work gloves, tools, trash bags and 5-gallon buckets will be distributed from this sight as well. We will also have one port-a-pot in that lot, and one in the small lot.
Lunch will be served from 11:30 – 12:30, possibly in the Rec Center if it is not rented that day. If it is rented, we will have pop-ups to eat under. After lunch we will tie up any loose ends and call it a day.
Anyone under the age of 16 will have to be accompanied by an adult.
